Send a Prayer or Prayer Request
We pray for a weary world, then we get painfully practical about what it means to pray for people who persecute us in daily life. We break down how to bless without excusing harm, surrender personal vengeance, and protect our hearts from bitterness and rumination.
• Matthew 5:44 as a direct command to pray for persecutors
• praying for enemies without calling wrongdoing acceptable
• noticing everyday “persecution” in traffic, stores, and small insults
• praying for repentance with the right motive, not personal payback
• blessing what can truly be blessed, even in the moment
• asking God for justice while rejecting personal vengeance
• praying for mercy, remembering our own need for forgiveness
• breaking rumination to keep bitterness from taking root
• using specific prayers like “Father, forgive them” from Luke 23
