A lot of people can say “God heals” when life is calm. The real question shows up when you are tired, hurting, or watching someone you love suffer: does God still heal today, and if he does, why does healing look so different from person to person?

We start with Scripture and a prayer for a weary world, lifting up places torn by war and communities hit by disaster, asking God for comfort, provision, wisdom for leaders, and strength for the church to shine with hope. From there we dig into the Bible’s own logic for healing, from “I am the Lord who heals you” to the healing ministry of Jesus, and then the crucial follow-up: what about after the resurrection? We walk through James 5:14–16, the healings recorded in Acts, and the gifts of healing in 1 Corinthians 12, keeping the tone simple, grounded, and honest.

Then we face the hardest part: the Bible does not promise that every faithful Christian is always physically healed right now. We talk about Paul’s thorn in the flesh, why that matters, and why we have to be careful not to twist it into an excuse for sin or a way to blame God for our choices. We also pray for healing that goes deeper than symptoms, including mental and emotional healing, because what happens in the mind often shapes what happens in the body.
